On Monday, NFL teams will have to cut their training camp rosters down to 75 players. To get the ball rolling, a lot of teams have been letting their players go early. One of these players may be the most famous wide receiver ever cut by the Seattle Seahawks. Terrell Owens, no stranger to being let go by teams, has been let go by another team. T.O.’s comeback with the Seahawks is officially over.
While the team has not officially announced roster cuts, if Terrell Owens is tweeting that he’s gone, I have no doubt he’s actually gone. By all accounts, Terrell has been a good citizen while in Seattle (unlike former teammate Chad Johnson in Miami), so it’s going to be a much easier time for him to find a new job in the NFL if a team needs a wide receiver. The comeback is over, for now, but I doubt it will officially be over any time soon, considering T.O.’s financial difficulties.
Maybe the NFL’s infamous loudmouth will get a job as a sideline reporter or studio talking head? I could definitely see that working out better for him than his last appearance as a player did. Assuming he hasn’t burned all his bridges in broadcasting, that is.
