From her potential American Idol judgeship to her recent Super Bowl appearance alongside Madonna, everything’s coming up Nicki Minaj lately.  Now she’s taking advantage of her clout by endorsing Mitt Romney for President, apparently?  On a guest verse on Lil Wayne’s mixtape Dedication 4, Nicki Minaj raps that she’s going to vote for Mitt Romney.  Talk about your strange bedfellows!  Nicki Minaj and Clint Eastwood voting on the same ticket!

Here’s the lyric, from the song “Mercy”:  “I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches are f—ing up the economy.”

Pretty weird endorsement, but a pretty clever rhyme, too.  The thing is, the song was produced by one of Barack Obama’s biggest supporters.  Nicki’s pro-Romney rhyme comes over top of some Kanye West beats; West campaigned for Barack Obama in 2008 and will presumably do so again this year.  Minaj has been very critical of Obama’s presidency on Twitter, complaining about health care, the economy, and other pressing events.
