When it comes to fighting cancer, especially breast cancer, there’s no limit to the sorts of publicity stunts advocates are willing to undertake.  From boobies bracelets to racy Facebook statuses and pink buckets of chicken breasts, any attention is good attention when it comes to the fight against breast cancer.  Just ask former American Idol turned country star Kellie Pickler.  On ABC’s Good Morning America, Kellie Pickler shaved her head to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Pickler’s friend Summer Holt Miller, 36, was declared cancer-free in August after undergoing a radical double masectomy and will be undergoing chemotherapy treatments beginning today.  Her best friend, the 26-year-old songbird Pickler, joined her in the buzz cut look, trading her trademark blonde locks for a buzz cut that actually looks good on her.  It looks good on both of them, actually, thanks to good bone structure.

“If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it,” said Miller.
