Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are heading to splitsville.

It’s not every day that comedy royalty gets married.  She’s the funny woman from Saturday Night Live‘s most recent glory period, and he’s the smarmy Gob Bluth of Arrested Development fame (and Jack Donaghy’s nemesis Devin Banks from 30 Rock).  When you talk about comedy power couples, Will Arnett and Amy Poehler were definitely that.  Unfortunately, just because you’re funny doesn’t mean marriage gets any easier.  Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are getting divorced after 9 years of marriage.  The two have two young children, 2-year-old Abel and 3-year-old Archie.

No real details are out, but the news is kind of a bummer, isn’t it?  Especially with two very young children involved, you’d hope that the parents would be able to work their problems out.  I imagine it’s got plenty to do with the very busy schedule both of them are keeping these days, what with their careers taking off and all, but who knows?  Aside from the two of them, I mean.  From the outside looking in, you can never tell anything about how good or strained a marriage might be.
