It may be a joke. Let’s just get that out of the way here. It may be a joke, it may be a nickname, it may be a hoax, or it may be the exact truth. These days, you don’t have to be a celebrity or someone seeking attention to have a really weird and terrible name. Terrible names are everywhere in the modern world, and likely you know someone whose named their child something dumb. If you don’t know that person, you might BE that person. A Facebook post of a woman who named her child Hashtag Jameson has gone viral, in spite of the debate over its authenticity.
Would she really name her little “Tweetybird” something like Hashtag? Honestly? Given the way the rest of her post is spelled, and the way her friend’s post is spelled, I’d put nothing past her. Assuming she’s a real person. Even if she’s not, there are babies named after Facebook, so why is it so crazy to name a baby after the most ubiquitous feature of Twitter?
