I’m gaining weight just looking at the Heart Attack Grill.
Restaurateur Jon Basso’s famed Heart Attack Grill has struck again. Patron John Alleman, the restaurant’s unofficial mascot who took over after 575-pound Blair River died of a heart attack, has himself been stricken by the restaurant’s menu. While waiting for a bus in front of the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas, John Alleman fell dead of a heart attack. That’s two unofficial mascots in two years for the Vegas celebration of gluttony, which has caused two other heart attacks in its time in Sin City.
“He never missed a day, even on Christmas,” admitted Basso. “People just loved him. He connected with people in a real way.”
Apparently Alleman took his responsibilities seriously. He would eat at the restaurant daily, and after eating, he would flag down passers-by and encourage them to try the Heart Attack Grill’s medical-themed menu, which offers patrons massive burgers and shakes while treating them like patients, complete with medical gowns and scrubs-clad wait staff. Maybe they should have some real medical training on the wait staff, just in case this continues to happen and people keep keeling over after having a burger.
