Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon found themselves jailed.

Reese Witherspoon is a very talented actress, but just because someone’s good at pretending to be other stuff, that doesn’t mean they know how to comport themselves in public.  By and large, she seems to be on her best behavior; however, on Friday night in Atlanta, Georgia, Reese Witherspoon got a little out of line.  When police pulled her husband Jim Toth over for suspicion of DUI, Reese wouldn’t stop interfering with the field sobriety tests; after trying to play her celebrity card, Reese Witherspoon was arrested on disorderly conduct charges.

Reese reportedly asked the officer, “Do you know who I am?”  When the officer admitted he didn’t, Reese replied, “Well, you’re about to find out!”  That seems like about the time I’d throw the cuffs on her, too.  Apparently, she refused to stay in the car and that’s when the Georgia State Trooper who had pulled them over put her in the back of the car with her husband.  Hence, Ms. Witherspoon was cited on disorderly conduct charges.

“I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said,” Witherspoon said.  “It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse.  I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job.  I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”
