A peaceful, deadly dairy farm.
Cows can be destructive to property, that much is true. They’re large, they smell, they excrete poisonous chemicals, and their tongues can destroy your home. It’s no wonder that cows would, eventually, turn on themselves. A dairy farm in Rasdorf, Germany, was the scene of an emergency scene with firefighters and emergency services being called after a barn exploded due to some unusual circumstances. As it turns out, cow flatulence caused a barn in Germany to explode.
Local authorities blamed the fart bomb on the cows, saying, “a static electric charge caused the gas to explode with flashes of flames. In the barn for 90 dairy cows, methane built up for unknown reasons … exploding in a darting flame. Parts of the roof cover were slightly damaged and a cow suffered minor burns.”
Cows must be really hard to kill. There have been so-called unkillable cows before, but this is crazy. A barn full of 90 cows explodes with force enough to cause damage to the roof and there’s only minor burns on one cow. You’d think there’d at least be some significant burns or singe marks or… well, something other than some minor burns on one cow. Even a fireball from a gas oven can take off a layer of skin if you’re not careful!
A gas field crew was called out to measure methane levels before allowing people to return to the scene. A single cow can belch out 500 liters of methane every day, when they’re not peeing out ammonia.
