You’d think that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un would have a pretty full plate. After all, he’s in charge of an entire country of people and if you look at his list of titles, he’s doing everything under the sun at a very high level. He’s in charge of all the military, the defense, the Communist Party, running the country, and yet he still finds time to launch artillery at South Korea and complain about being made fun of. In particular, he (or rather North Korean diplomats) are up in arms about an advertisement that makes fun of Dear Leader Jr. Jr.’s haircut. North Korea has complained to Great Britain about an ad mocking Kim Jong Un’s “Bad Hair Day.”
The ad is for the M&M Hair Academy in South Ealing, London. It features a big image of Kim Jong Un with the appropriate subtitle and a deal for 15% off all gents haircuts. Pretty good deal, but perhaps not good enough to mollify North Korea. The Foreign Office has confirmed that they received an official letter complaining about the poster and that they are considering a proper response. One presumes “bugger off” is an inappropriate response, though perhaps the most reasonable one.
