Jay Z and Beyonce are probably as famous for being a famous celebrity couple than they are for their musical exploits these days. They’re famous because they’re so famous, if that makes sense, and the addition of Blue Ivy didn’t do much to dampen their star appeal. Beyonce might have a new video album and Jay Z might be a chicken magnate, but they’re not nearly as famous apart as they are together, so it’s with that spirit that the power couple of hip hop has decided to join forces where it really matters: the stage. Jay Z and Beyonce are teaming up to tour America’s sports stadiums this summer.
The tour is being dubbed the “On The Run” tour, no doubt to play off the couples’ Bonnie and Clyde image from their first collaboration together. The tour will be hitting 16 spots in America throughout the summer, beginning on Wednesday, June 25 at Miami’s Sunlife Stadium and running through Tuesday, August 5 at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Chase customers and Beyonce fan club members will be able to get access to presale tickets starting tomorrow, April 29, at 10 AM; general presale tickets go on sale May 1 at 10 AM. The power couple’s charity foundations, the Shawn Carter Foundation and the BeyGOOD Initiative, will receive $1 from each ticket sold.
