It’s been awhile since the Farrelly Brothers had a huge hit to their name, so after the disappointment of The Three Stooges, Peter and Bobby Farrelly are turning back to one of the biggest hits in their canon, and reteaming with two of the men who made them into celebrated dumb comedy directors.  Those two men would be Harry and Lloyd, AKA Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.  That’s right, Dumb and Dumber is getting a sequel, and you can take a look at it.  The first trailer for the long-promised Dumb and Dumber To has debuted, making quite a splash on YouTube.  Check it out below!

I have to admit, I’m not blown away by what I see, but the original movie took a long time to catch fire, too, so perhaps it’s a slow burner or perhaps the Farrelly Brothers are saving all the best jokes from Sean Anders and Johm Morris (who wrote the screenplay) for the cineplex.  I certainly hope it’s funny, because it’d be nice to see Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels doing a really funny movie again.  After all, they can make things pretty dumb in the movies but it’s harder to match the dumbness level of real life.
