If you’re outside of the United States, feel free to disregard this. If you’re inside the United States, listen up. Today is the day in which you get to dust off your democratic republic skills and elect those who will represent you. It’s Election Day, and while there’s no national election on the ballot, there are a lot of other elections going on, and I have no doubt you’ll find someone to vote for if you know where you have to go vote. Google is celebrating Election Day with a Doodle featuring a spinning ballot box.
I think the best thing about this Doodle is that when you click on it, it takes you immediately to a Google search where you can enter your address and find out where you need to go to vote. Given how voting places tend to move around from year to year, this is an invaluable resource. Of course, it’s also a midterm election, so most people won’t bother coming out to vote if they can’t vote for a President, or at least some sort of governorship. But hey, I have no doubt there are important local elections going on where you live, Senators and Representatives to vote on, and lots of judge races, so if you’re eligible, please go vote.
