I don’t know anything about Ariana Grande, but I don’t think I really want to get to know her either.  She’s behaving a little Biebery, it seems.  On the Fourth of July, Grande and her cronies went to Wolfee Doughnuts in Lake Elsinore, California, and raised a little scene that was caught on security cameras.  Grande ranted about how much she hates America, which is bad enough when America is a country that has made her into a millionaire for doing a bad Mariah Carey impression.  The worst thing is when she and a friend, as part of a game of Truth or Dare, licked a bunch of doughnuts on a tray left unattended by an employee.  She was turned into the cops, who did nothing.  Now the victims of her salivary crime might face repercussions.  The shop where pop tart Ariana Grande and friends licked a bunch of doughnuts is now facing trouble for the pop star’s actions.

This is where the story gets ridiculous.  Grande and friend licking the doughnuts isn’t a crime, but the store is facing investigation from the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health over the fact that the doughnuts were temporarily left in a place where the pop star could ruin them with her slobber.  Never mind the fact that Grande basically tricked the employee into leaving the doughnuts unattended for a few brief moments.  Wolfee Doughnuts manager Ricky Marin says the store sold out of doughnuts on Saturday night, so the ones licked might have been eaten by the public, and the health department takes that kind of contamination seriously, even if the police don’t think it’s a crime to spit on someone’s doughnut.

“I am extremely proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country.  What I said in a private moment with my friend Ryann, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words.  As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole,” said a statement from Grande.  “The fact that the United States has the highest child obesity rate in the world frustrates me…. However I should have known better in how I expressed myself; and with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better.”
