What happens with this summer’s hottest musical biopic, Straight Outta Compton, about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-enshrined NWA, meets the hottest movie of DC and Warner Brothers’ superhero lineup, Suicide Squad?  I’ll give you a hint, the end result is really, really awesome.  A rogue gallery of DC villains being kept down by the man and a dead-on recreation of NWA’s “Straight Outta Compton” video makes for a perfect pair and a spectacular viral video.  The Batman Rogues Gallery presents “Straight Outta Gotham.”

The video is the brainchild of Matt Schwartz and Castanet Creative, and it features the bulk of Batman’s villains, and a wealth of references to Batman comic book events.  Joker mentions Jason Todd, there’s Bane and The Riddler, Harley Quinn is a video girl, Two-Face mentions Jim Gordon and Blackgate… it’s really just a phenomenal piece of work, and the fact that you have Batman and Robin playing the police from the NWA video in question just makes the recreation that much better.
