You see that lovely wedding dress? It’s not just a lovely outfit, it’s a lovely outfit made of, get this… toilet paper. That’s right, it’s a squeezable soft, extra absorbent, ridged for extra cleaning bridal gown.
That lovely dress, fabricated over a two week period by Katrina Chalifoux, won the fourth annual toilet paper dress competition, sponsored by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com. For her efforts, Ms. Chalifoux won a cool $1000, which is nothing to sneeze at (or in). You’d think they could throw in a lifetime supply of TP, too, but she’d probably just make curtains and clothes out of it, rather than flushing it all away. Still, if she can do that with tissue paper, imagine what she could do with real cloth she doesn’t have to take away from cartoon bears with gastrointestinal issues.
You just might want to stay away from a certain Russian resort while wearing your potty-paper wedding dress. That’d be a pretty crappy way to lose your marital wear.
