A long-running disagreement between three teachers, self-proclaimed Christians Leslie Rainer and Djuna Robinson and their atheist colleague Schandra Rodriguez, boiled over into assault according to Rodriguez. She claims that her Christian colleagues attacked her with holy water at Blanche Ely High School in Broward County, Florida. Rainer and Robinson have been removed from active teaching duty during the investigation; Rodriguez remains in the classroom, albeit possibly more pious than she was previously.
“Miss Robinson obtained a little bottle with some perfume in it in jest and the students will all confirm she never went close to Miss Rodriguez. Miss Rodriguez was on the other side of the classroom and that was basically it,” said Johnny L. McCray Jr., Rainer and Robinson’s attorney. The accused women say it was all a joke with no actual holy water involved; Rodriguez maintains it was religious persecution carried out because she’s an atheist.
Maybe they attacked her because she was a vampire! Holy water is a crucial part of any anti-vampire kit, after all. If they find any stray stakes in the classroom…
