Bill Gates once said “Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.” While celebrities aren’t considered bosses, they sure command our attention. Cracked compiled a list of over half a dozen Hollywood icons that grew up nerds (and remain to be, as far as we’re concerned).

Leading the pack is everyone’s favorite Star Wars Queen, Natalie Portman. This girl makes me look like a runner-up to some 3rd grade spelling bee. So what makes her such a geek? For starters, she passed up The Phantom Menace premiere to study for exams. Other notable traits of nerdiness: She has studied 4 languages, and been published twice (in scientific journals no less).

She’s a nerd, and she kicks ass doing it.

Who else is on the list, you ask? Well another favorite uttered these famous words: “I must break you…” He played Drago in arguably one of Sylvester Stallone’s most famous movies of all time. The name is Dolph Lundgren, and he’s a lifetime geek.

The proof speaks for itself: The guy speaks five languages, has a masters in chemical engineering, an holds an IQ of 160. I suspect his muscles contain gray matter too.
