I’m very proud of my gorgeous Alienware laptop (that I paid too much money for). It’s sleek, distinctive, silver, and I’d never do anything to detract from the stylishness and performance that I paid a premium for. However, my friends with more utilitarian black laptops are fiends for applying stickers and drawing on their business-class machines to make them fancier. That’s all well and good for them, but if you’re looking to get your laptop pimped, check out the many ways to add personality to your computer.
I never knew you could do so much to a computer. Anyone can decorate a case or buy a cool laptop sleeve online. That’s nothing special in and of itself, though the featured sleeves are very cool. I also knew about stickers and laptop skins, because I’m the guy who covered a dorm refrigerator with those plastic white DVD title stickers. But paint? Etchings? Engraving? Rhinestones? That’s some awesome customization right there.
The options that are out there for you to make your laptop as cool as you want it to be, so there’s no excuse to carry around a boring old MacBook or HP. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a rhinestoned or stickered laptop to your next business meeting, but those etching designs look awesome while still being somewhat professional. Then again, if you’re just playing games, then the sky is the limit for what you want to do to your computer.
