Deputy Dog has a great post covering some instances of really weird sound recordings that use stranger-than-average means of creation. For example, imagine using instruments made entirely out of ice. From harps to trumpets, the guys behind this idea actually make music this way. What’s more, they started a label!
Of course the instruments have to be kept at a cool 17 degrees fahrenheit, but the studio knows how to chill out (okay terrible pun). Another instance of bizarre sound recording has a guy literally playing music on the US border fence. How, you ask? By using a cello bow and chopsticks.
Now that’s music. More pics, videos and cool examples at deputydog.
