You can tell when Hollywood is getting bored and just phoning it in. Unfortunately, movies can’t ride on franchise branding alone! If that were the case, Aliens vs Predator 2 might have turned out better… But if Tinseltown ran another head-to-head science fiction franchise battle royale, what should it be?

That’s a question this poll is trying to tackle. Right now, Blade Runner vs. The Matrix is taking the lead at nearly 40% of the votes. Behind it, strangely enough, is Buckaroo Banzai vs. Bill (universal traveling goes primal in that one).

I personally wouldn’t mind seeing Time Cop and Robocop come to blows. But like io9 suggests, it’ll only work if Van Damme makes the cut. Or hey, they can always tap into one of these actors that turned down hit roles the first time!
