There are some odd people in the world. There also some odd people in the world that when they make a threat, they stick with it.

Meet one Peter W. Mischler, a Wisconsin man, who had gone out hunting. When he arrived home, he discovered his 22-year-old daughter on the phone. Apparently the young woman had not been taking care of the family goats and the animals were running amuck. She was on the phone with her mother and Mischler told his daughter to tell his wife to bring home some beer and if she didn’t bring home him  some hopps and barley beverage, he was going to shoot a goat.

She forgot to bring him his adult beverage.

And, as promised, a few minutes later the wife and daughter heard four gunshots.

Which leads us to one goat being shot in the name of lost beer.

Mischler was charged in Circuit Court with mistreatment of animals, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon.

Despite the immortal words of Cake,  which are “sheep go to heaven, goats go to hell,” we can only hope that this one poor goat found a place on a cloud in afterlife.
