File this under the Extreme Irony section. A Brooklyn judge who earns $136,000 a year is targeting his own city after slipping and falling in his own courthouse. He alleges that the city (and mop lady) created a “dangerous and hazardous traplike condition.” How much is Supreme Court Justice Jack Battaglia seeking? Nothing less than $1 million dollars of course!

He’s taken criticism for including the janitor in his complaint. This is a guy who obviously knows all the inner workings of civil claims, as he personally heard many cases against the city just like this.

Political happenings don’t get any sillier than that (or maybe they do). Judge Battaglia apparently has to use a cane now. If he gets his way, that will soon be a gold, diamond-encrusted walking stick.
