I know how it is. You get tired of only using your 100-foot-long roll of aluminum foil for wrapping up turkey and lettuce on rye sandwiches. You need to break the cycle, get beyond baked potatoes and pre-made casseroles in the freezer.
The Life Hackery is here to help. They’ve compiled a list of 30–count them–“30 Uncommon Uses for Aluminum Foil.”
There’s the obvious: the Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie to protect yourself from brain-sucking zombies, mind control and other such noggin intrusions.
But then the list also includes gems like using the foil to sharpen scissors by cutting through six or seven layers or to help your soap last longer by placing a piece underneath the bar to keep it from sitting in a constant puddle of water.
There are also some ideas that I never would have thought of before in my life without reading this blog. I love that aluminum foil can double as wrapping paper in case of a holiday emergency aka I forgot to buy paper and it’s someone’s birthday tomorrow.
