Remember Thomas Beatie?  He made a splash everywhere when he announced that, despite having become a man via sex change, he was legitimately pregnant.  Well, the pregnant man is back, and he’s pregnant again.

After Beatie gave birth to his daughter Susan on June 29, Thomas never resumed the male hormone treatments that turned him from a Hawaiian beauty queen into a bearded fellow with the hopes of having more children.  Well, Thomas and Nancy are going to be parents again, with an expected due date of June 12, 2009.  After his 40-hour labor last time, I’m a little surprised that Thomas is getting back into the baby game so quickly, but good for him and his family!

For his sake, I really hope his labor goes better this time.  I’ve heard from friends that the second child is easier than the first, and hopefully this is as true for pregnant men as it is for pregnant women.  Our best wishes go out to Thomas and his family on their latest miracle baby!
