I’m sure if you could talk to Paula Griffin, she’d tell you the following great tip: don’t keep your nail glue next to your eyedrops, because you’ll probably glue your eye shut. As you might imagine, the poor woman feels a bit dumb now, but it’s the sort of mistake that could happen to anyone. It’s like using hairspray instead of spray-on deodorant, or putting ointment on your toothbrush, except it can leave you potentially blind and unable to use your vision-guided catapult.
You have to feel bad for Ms. Griffin, and not just because she may have potentially blinded herself. Now everyone thinks she’s just a dumb blonde. At least she’s learned something from the experience: “It was a nasty accident, and it could have happened to anyone but I won’t be putting the bottles anywhere near each other again, that’s for sure.”
It’s a little late for that, isn’t it? Nail glue is infinitely more dangerous than any Red Ryder BB Gun.
