My friend Andrew is a huge Bill Cosby fan. I’m not sure why, but he’s my age and he’s a gigantic Cosby nut. He’s hunting down Bill’s old comedy records and has not only bought one ticket to see Bill perform with the hope of meeting (and being rendered completely speechless by) one of his legitimate heroes. I have to wonder what he’d say about Andrew Salomone’s portrait of Bill Cosby rendered in Jell-O shots. Considering he’s not a drinker, he wouldn’t like the shots part, but I think he’d be a huge fan of the Cosby Jell-O head.
The head itself is pretty impressive in its own way. Yet again, planning impresses me. However, the most interesting part to me is the fact that, as people came by to take Jell-O shots, Cosby morphed into something else entirely. Salomone had a camera on hand and he captured the Cosby morphs.
I think my favorite is when Cosby randomly turned into a game of Pac-Man, but they’re all pretty interesting. I would love to see a Hunter Thompson made out of Jell-O shots (or psychotropic drugs).
