A pair of criminals in Belgium have taken the 2009 Darwin Award for dumbest death, thanks to a little miscalculation with some dynamite.  The thieving twosome wanted to crack open an ATM located on the side of a bank, but they used a little too much and managed to not only blow up the ATM, but the entire bank!  They also blew themselves up, which is why they took the Darwin over the woman who drowned trying to rescue her moped from a flood and the guy who fell off a bridge while looking for a place to pee.

I try not to get too morbid on PopFi and usually limit my stories of dumbness-induced injuries to ones where people get hurt, but not killed (like the traffic flasher who got run over).  However, for the Darwins, I can make an exception because these causes of death are just too funny to be tragic.  At least for strangers, anyway.
