The Simpsons has become one of those things that just is.  It has been around forever, enjoyed by millions of people, and has been a pop culture juggernaut.  While it has added important new foodstuffs like the nacho hat to our collective cookbook, the real importance of the show has been how it has added to the English language.  Consider, for example, that two of the show’s made-up words, d’oh and meh, are already in the dictionary. Here’s 10 more Simpsons words that deserve to become real English.

It’s not a stretch to imagine some of these next words entering the official language of record in the coming years.  Some of them, like debigulate and embiggen, are never going to make it (as much as I want them to), but some of them, like yoink, will definitely make the cut.  I guarantee you that yoink will become a word.
