Take one claustrophobic sheriff’s deputy. Add in one brand-new $12.4 million dollar county judicial center on its opening day. Mix in an unlocked jail cell and you’re on a collision course with wackiness! When Charles Wright, deputy sheriff in Adair County, Kentucky, accidentally got locked in a jail cell, he did what anyone in that situation would do. He freaked out. Because Wright is claustrophobic, his freak-out got so bad that he actually tried to shoot his way out of the jail cell.
The bad news is, because of his freak-out, Wright was fired from his job. However, on the bright side, that new jail is pretty strong, because Wright wasn’t able to shoot his way out of it. So it’s got that going for it, which is nice! At least you know nobody’s going to be breaking in for some nookie or breaking out for some cigarettes.
