Timothy Serrano had had enough. He was sick of the fighting, wanted to get away from his nagging old lady and all her problems, and had a great way to do so. He went to the cops, told them he couldn’t deal with his woman anymore, and asked them to arrest him. Given that he was drunk at the time and carrying around a bottle of open liquor, they agreed to take him into custody.
As it turns out, he also had a minor outstanding warrant, which the 34-year-old man took care of when he sobered up a few hours later.
“He actually said that he should be arrested for something because he couldn’t deal with his woman anymore,” confirmed Carlisle, Pennsylvania, police chief Stephen Margeson. This happens all the time when romance goes wrong. Sometimes you just need a break.
