When Andrew Brian McKnight showed up for work at the Murfreesboro, Tennessee branch of Waffle House, I imagine he never thought his shift would end with a high-speed car ride on the wrong side of the vehicle. When three teenagers attempted to dine and dash, McKnight went out to stop them. Of course, they tried to run him over as they left, so McKnight jumped onto the hood of the speeding car and held on for dear life as the teens raced along at 60 miles an hour for a terrifying 5-minute commute from hell!
McKnight’s awful ordeal (the car dragging, not working at Waffle House) ended when, still on the hood of the vehicle, he called 911 with his cell phone. Police then were able to stop the car while not getting McKnight thrown from the hood or turned into street pizza. That’s one lucky dude!
Do you think he went back to work at the WaHo after his questioning by the police? I think he did.
