I’ve been looking for a house for awhile, and one of my requirements is to have two bathrooms. It’s not that I need two bathrooms right now, since it’s just me, but it’s a lot more convenient to have parties and guests if you have more than one head available for emergency use. It’s just one of the facts of life. When you have a lot of people, you’re going to have a long wait for the bathroom if you get stuck behind someone. I can only imagine what it’s like for the Indian family with 162 people living in the same home, under the same roof.
The clan is the family of an Indian man named Ziona. He’s the head of the “Chana” sect, which practices a blend of communism and democracy. He’s got a staggering 32 wives, 94 children of his own, and then all the grandkids who also live with grandpa and his many wives. There’s also only one kitchen for the family, which requires 66-70 pounds of pork and 110 pounds of rice per meal, which is usually cooked by a team of wives. There’ve been lots of polygamists at PopFi, but nobody quite as impressive (or crazy) as Ziona and his enormous household.
