What do you get when you cross a pizza with a hamburger? Well, if you’re Burger King, you’re hoping you’ve created the next super-hit fast food item. Burger King’s latest gut-busting offering, the New York Pizza Burger, is an incredible four Whopper patties spread across a 9.5 inch sesame seed bun. Atop those Whoppers is pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, and deliciousness.
Surprisingly, the Pizza Burger isn’t bad for you, if you don’t eat the whole thing. One of the New York Pizza Burger’s six slices runs about 420 calories and 24 grams of fat. However, if you eat the whole thing (and why wouldn’t you?), it’ll be a staggering 2,520 calories and 144 grams of fat. Now THAT’S what I’m talking about!
The new burger offering, Burger King’s salute to its midtown Manhattan location, is soon to debut at the Whopper Bar, a specialty Burger King location offering unusual treats such as the Burger King Meat Beast Whopper and the Pepper Bacon Steakhouse Burger. If it proves to be successful there, both the burger and the Whopper Bar concept will soon spread across the country like a layer of mayo on a sesame-seed bun. Hopefully they’ll bring some Japanese Whopper styles along for the ride!
