A teenager was riding his bicycle along Route 25A in Rocky Point, Long Island, when he saw something strange. Approaching him were three men (or women) who were wearing costumes. We’re not talking Star Wars masks or anything, but full-body costumes. Two were gorillas, and one was a giant chicken like the one above. Rather than perform some kind of goofy, entertaining mascot-type stunt, the three men in animal costumes stole the teenager’s bicycle.
The chicken pedaled away, while the two gorillas made a run for it. As for the teenage bicycle-rider, he was punched in the head by one of the gorillas and went down off his bicycle, which made the theft all the easier for the three animal bandits. Talk about your shenanigans and goings-on!
Still, the teen was treated at a local hospital for his injuries, but was released after an examination. It’s probably for the best he didn’t go after them, because guys in mascot suits are tough. Plus, he’s outnumbered. No sense risking your neck for a bicycle.
