Semis are large, hard-to-drive machines. Even the best driver will make errors every now and then, and 39-year-old Eric Young of Charleston, South Carolina, is no exception. He was driving through Rudd, Iowa, pulling a semi-trailer full of delicious Jello pudding and Jello gelatin. Pudding and gelatin cups, no less. When Young misjudged a turn and put his semi into a ditch, the trailer overturned and spilled Jello all over the road.
According to Floyd County sheriffs, the trailer spilled a staggering 52 pallets of Jello products on the road. J-E-L-L-O? More like J-E-L-L-Oh No! Young and his passenger, 32-year-old Martin Brandon, were not seriously injured, but I imagine the clean-up took quite some time. While there’s always room for Jello, there’s seldom room for 52 pallets of it to splay across a country road.
