There’s nothing quite as gratifying as back-to-back wins; likewise, there’s nothing quite as crushing as a losing streak. AT&T is on a two-year-long losing streak when it comes to customer satisfaction ratings as reported by Consumer Reports. AT&T was the lowest-ranked cellular service provider for the second year in a row, trailing US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and even T-Mobile. In fact, AT&T was bad last year and managed to get worse this year.
Last year, AT&T had a score of 66 based on 10 areas of customer satisfaction; this year AT&T dropped to 60, 9 points lower than second-to-last T-Mobile. I can only imagine that a lot of these ratings are related to the iPhone and all the problems it is giving AT&T. I know I’d be pretty irritated if I bought an expensive new phone only to find out the only available carrier’s service network is woefully inadequate to handle the traffic. The proof will be in the pudding when the iPhone comes to Verizon, if it ever does.
