Since recovering his long-lost Camaro, Papa John’s founder John Schnatter has been in a pretty good mood. Can you blame him? His company has grown into the third-largest pizza chain in the United States, he’s the official pizza of the NFL, and he’s on top of the world. He’s so pleased with his company position that he’s making a bet with the general public on the Super Bowl. Papa John’s will give away free pizza to its US customers if the Super Bowl goes into overtime.
All you have to do to get in line for free pizza is sign up for Papa John’s customer loyalty program, Papa’s Points, by February 5. When it clicks over to midnight eastern time on February 6, you’re out of luck. If you’re already a Papa’s Points member like I am, you don’t have to do anything special to get your free pizza. The free pizza vouchers, if issued, will remain good until June 30.
Free pizza sounds pretty good to me. Let’s all hope the Super Bowl goes into overtime and Papa puts his money where his Valentine’s Day pizza goes.
