It’s an idea whose time has come. When you sit down and you’re looking to figure out what you want to cook for dinner, where do you turn? Well, maybe you have a book of recipes or a cookbook of some kind to look through. That’s all well and good, but what if your cookbook doesn’t have what you want to eat, or you don’t have what you need to make a recipe? Then there’s trouble. You turn to the Internet: Epicurious, AllRecipes, Food Network. Which site do you look at first? It’s difficult! Luckily, Google’s got just what you need after the launch of their Google Recipe Viewer.
Leave it to Google to make things easier for aspiring chefs! Given Google’s search engine expertise, this is a natural progression into a more targeted way of searching, and targeted this is. Google Recipe Viewer will allow searchers to sort recipes by the food items needed, the cooking time needed, and the total calories of the dish. Google’s helping you be more expedient, thrifty, AND thin in one fell swoop!
This is an awesome service. When I have to cook, I think I’ll put down the instant oatmeal and head over to Google to cook myself up some real food with real flavor. Brilliant idea, Google. This might be the best forehead-slappingly simple idea you’ve implemented.
