Mitt Romney, former Governor of the state of Massachussetts and longtime potential Presidential candidate (both last time and this time), is taking the first few tentative steps on what is expected to be a run for the position of President of the United States. That’s right Obama, Mitt Romney is running for President. He leaked the announcement via Twitter and YouTube. Granted, he’s just forming an exploratory committee, not launching a full-scale campaign, but every campaign starts with an exploratory committee. You can pretty much bet on Mitt Romney running for POTUS.
“From my vantage point in business and in government, I have become convinced that America has been put on a dangerous course by Washington politicians, and it has become even worse during the last two years,” said Romney in the YouTube announcement, which you can see below. “But I am also convinced that with able leadership, America’s best days are still ahead.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAcxwfkAdDYWillard Mitt Romney is making his headquarters in Boston, in the same building where his last Presidential attempt ended. Romney joins former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty as high-profile candidates to declare for the race early. There’ll be plenty more where this came from; being President is a terrible job, but lots of people want that power. Just ask Wyclef Jean.
