The circus is supposed to be a happy place where families make the visit under the big top and find cotton candy and and parading elephants. And don’t forget the performers who roll up in their tiny car, the clowns, creating either joy for many or nightmares for the clown-phobic depending upon the individual child.
The sawdust inside the three rings at a German circus may be needed to absorb the blood after two feuding families pulled out guns, knives and clubs to settle a disagreement over space under the tent. Six people, three from each family, ended up with injuries. One man was treated for a gunshot wound to his leg.
Maybe if Hannibal Helmurto had used his giant spinning ear whirligigs to hypnotize the feuding troupes, this circus showdown could have been avoided.
