Some new stars, waiting to dance on TV.

Another year, another new cast for Dancing With The Stars.  The show seems to have nailed the mix of sports personalities, reality TV veterans, washed-up musicians, political figures, and struggling actors necessary to attract huge audiences, judging by last year’s successes, and Season 13 isn’t going to be any different.  The New York Post has the run-down on Season 13’s DWTS crew, or you can just look below and read the list of names.

This year’s cast includes Chaz Bono, Nancy Grace, David Arquette, Hope Solo, Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian, Ron Artest, Chynna Phillips, Elisabetta Canalis, Kristin Cavallari, Carson Kressley, and J.R. Martinez.  Nancy Grace is a well-known TV talking head and commentator, while Ricki Lake is a former actress and talk show host.  Hope Solo is the goalie for the US Women’s National Soccer Team and Ron Artest is a Los Angeles Laker.  Kristin Cavallari, Carson Kressley, and Rob Kardashian are reality TV veterans.  J.R. Martinez and David Arquette are actors, while Chynna Phillips and Chaz Bono are the children of celebrities.  Elizabetta Canalis is the most recent and longest-tenured girlfriend of George Clooney.

So who has the upper hand?  I’m thinking Artest, Solo, and Canalis are favorites, due to their athletic background or experience dancing.  The long-shots are Chaz Bono (who is still getting used to being a man), Nancy Grace (because of her age), and Rob Kardashian (because I don’t know anything about him).  Do you have any favorite dancers?
