Kim Kardashian is now a household name, and she’s got one person to thank for it. Ray J., her ex-boyfriend and the co-star of Kim Kardashian’s fame-making sex tape. Without that sex tape, she’s just another Armenian girl with big eyebrows. However, the very thing that made Kim K a superstar may soon be disappearing. An anonymous buyer is trying to purchase the rights to the Kim Kardashian sex tape to remove it from the market. Yeah, good luck with that, buddy.
“Recently, I was approached by a private party who asked us to look into the possibility of acquiring all rights (and copies) of the Vivid ‘Kim Kardashian Sex Tape,” said Nashville-based attorney Adam Dread, in a letter obtained by CNN. He refused to name his client, adding, “Unless I’m told otherwise, this is all confidential.” Dread says his client, “does not intend to distribute or broadcast the ‘tape,’ but hopes to completely remove it from the market.”
“I was surprised to receive the attorney’s letter offering to buy kimksuperstar.com,” said Vivid’s head honcho, Steven Hirsch. “Initially, I thought the offer wasn’t real, but after reading it through a second time, I am definitely intrigued. I’m happy to talk numbers anytime.”
I’d imagine that Vivid would love a nice, large payment in cash, so they can sweeten their offer to Pippa Middleton. Still, as for this anonymous buyer? What are the odds that it’s either one of the Kardashians, a member of Ray J.’s entourage, or Kim Kardashian’s new husband Kris Humphries? Nobody’s commenting, but now that Kim is famous, she’s probably got money enough to get control of her past once again.
