Adele Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

Posted 10/22/2012 6:30 am by

Here’s hoping Adele holds her baby better than she holds her awards.

October is shaping up to be a big month in what was a big year for singer Adele.  Not only did her latest hit song get released when she dropped the James Bond theme Skyfall, she also celebrated her pregnancy and possible secret marriage.  While Adele and Simon Konecki might not be married, apparently they are new parents.  Sources have told Us Weekly that Adele has given birth to her first child.  The baby is a son who was apparently born healthy and happy.  Other details are not available.

Let the speculation begin on how this will affect her next album.  Maybe it’ll be lullabies   Maybe it’ll be happier music to celebrate the birth of her baby?  Maybe she’ll plumb the depths of her misery to an insane degree thanks to post-partum depression?  Either way, I’m sure it’ll sell a billion copies no matter what form it might take.

Congratulations to Adele and Simon on the birth of their son!

People live in fear of clowns.  Not me, but there’s just something about clowns that makes a lot of people very uncomfortable.  A trio of Alabama kids used that fear of clowns to prey on the fears of some classmates and associates in the town of Flomaton, and they’ve landed not in a puddle of […]

Yosemite National Park Gets 400 Acres Larger

When John Muir laid out the plans for Yosemite National Park in 1890, one of the things he’d included in the massive park was an area called Ackerson Meadows, which is a meadow and wetland area some 400 acres near the park’s Big Oak Flat entrance.  For whatever reason, that never happened, while other parks […]

ITT Tech Shut Down By US Government

College is a big business.  No matter that half of all college degrees, my own included, are wasted.  In fact, a lot of people would have a better life without wasting time and money on a degree, but for a lot of people, college is more about what it represents than the actual education.  That […]

Netflix Brings Science Back To TV

Posted 9/01/2016 8:47 pm by

I was never a Bill Nye fan.  For whatever reason, I just never took to the show.  My science TV show was, and always shall be, Beakman’s World, if only because a guy in a rat suit got to eat sugar glass.  Plus they taught me, a movie nerd, how to make sugar glass.  Still, […]

Worry not, bachelors.  You’ve got a goldmine in your cabinet, assuming you go to prison.  With changes in prison food availability, particularly less of it as part of cost-cutting measures around the country, there’s a new king on the prison trading market.  Move over cigarettes, prisoners are now using ramen noodles as prison currency.  That’s […]

It’s not a rare thing to hear the United States national anthem during the Olympics; you hear it at every sporting event ever, it seems.  At the 2016 Rio Games, the US won 46 gold medals, so the Star Spangled Banner was played 46 times.  Not too shabby, right?  However, the anthem is a song […]

Well, that didn’t last long.  In 2014, The Colbert Report went off the air so its star could go replace David Letterman on CBS.  They promoted from within, as they are wont to do, by bringing Larry Wilmore to the big stage.  Larry promptly fell flat on his face.  Low ratings and poor social media […]
