Grumpy Cat will be a movie star. No word about her equally-cute brother.

The Internet is the domain of cats.  It’s unquestioned that cats are the kings and queens of meme culture, but increasingly those memes are breaking out of the digital realm and crossing over into the realm of entertainment.  Hollywood is taking notice.  When it comes to special animals, they’ve always had their Air Buds and King Kongs, but now they’re going to get a little grumpy.  Specifically, a little grumpy cat name Tarder Sauce.  Grumpy Cat will be getting her own Hollywood movie.

The film actually has some star power behind it, according to Grumpy Cat’s manager Ben Lashes.  Broken Road Productions, who produced hits like Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Jack & Jill will be putting their financial clout behind Tard and her adventures.  It seems like a natural attention for the media star, who has gone from cat videos online to appearances on The Today Show.  Now, Tard will be heading to your DVD player.

Not bad for a cat that orginally rose to prominence via owner Tabatha Bundesen posting her picture on Reddit.
