Another day, another dust-up with the cops for Justin Bieber. Just two weeks ago, Bieber egged his neighbor’s house and got the cops called on him. Now, he’s making a Fast and Furious sequel on the streets of Miami, Florida, after a night out at the club with a head full of narcotics. Justin Bieber was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and drag racing. He also did not have a valid driver’s license and he failed a field sobriety test. The other racer, Khalil Amir Shariff, was also arrested and charged with a DUI.
Apparently, Bieber and Shariff wanted to have a race, with Bieber’s yellow Lamborghini versus Shariff’s red Ferrari. Bieber’s entourage used their cars to block off the street and create the drag strip for the two. Given that this was in a residential area, I’m sure that’s what attracted the attention of police. Bieber will be eligible for bail at noon today, after a mandatory 8-hour drying out period. Miami Beach police say Bieber was incoherent due to the use of drugs and resisted arrest non-violently by keeping his hands in his pockets; tests showed the presence of drugs in his system. At least he didn’t pass out behind the wheel and hurt someone.
Bieber faces up to 6 months in jail and a suspension of his license for 6 months (though I’m not sure how they can suspend something he doesn’t actually have). Hopefully they’ll deport him back to Canada, where he can drag-race a Zamboni.
