Starbucks loves to roll out special drinks, from the massive Trenta to one of the venerable Pumpkin Spice Latte. Another thing Starbucks loves to do is donate to charity, particularly with some kind of celebrity tie-in. Marshawn Lynch is an All-Pro, a Super Bowl champion, and a character the likes of which the NFL doesn’t see a lot of these days. He loves candy, and he apparently loves coffee, too. Starbucks is teaming up with Marshawn Lynch to roll out the Beast Mode Frappuccino.
Starbucks describes the drink as “a double mocha Frappuccino with a hint of mint and cream and just enough protein powder to unleash your inner Beast Mode. It’s topped with whipped cream, then finished with a purple berry drizzle and a sprinkle of matcha.” You can find more information about the drink by checking out this handy Beast Mode infographic, which also details nutritional facts on the drink.
Starbucks is donating 24 cents of every purchase made throughout the state of Washington and Lynch’s home town of Oakland, California to Lynch’s charity, the Fam 1st Family Foundation. Starbucks has already donated $24,000, and will keep donating 24 cents at a time until they reach $100,000.
