Good news, everyone! If you’ve been worried about the rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ, you don’t have to worry anymore. A date has been set for Jesus’s return, so you have more than enough time to get your affairs in order and get right with the church of your choice. According to a billboard taken out in Nashville, Tennessee, Jesus will return on May 21, 2011.
Now, there’s nothing in the Bible that says when Jesus is supposed to make his triumphant comeback, but that hasn’t stopped Harold Camping, the founder of Family Radio Inc., to make a prediction as to when Jesus will be back and better than ever. In that spirit, a group of Family Radio listeners have started WeCanKnow.com, who are behind the billboard in Nashville, as well as billboards in Louisville, St. Louis, Detroit, Little Rock, Omaha, Kansas City, Fort Wayne (Indiana), and Bridgeport (Connecticut).
This would not be the first time someone has predicted the return of Jesus. Failed attempts at predicting the rapture date back all the way to the first century AD, shortly after Jesus left the earth the first time around. However, this is the first time that so many billboards about it have been arranged.
