Timing is everything.
Stefanie Gordon learned that this morning when she snapped a photo with her iPhone. It wasn’t just a photo of a cute kitten or a picture of her lunch. This picture was of the space shuttle Endeavor as it rose into the sky for its final flight. While flying from New York to Palm Beach for a visit with her mother, she napped until the pilot awakened her with news that their plane was passing near enough the shuttle for those on board to see it. With her phone, she took a couple of pics and a video that she shared online.
Gordon posted the pic to Twitter via Twitpic on her @Stefmara account and the cool shot has gone viral. The photo of Endeavor climbing high into the sky was retweeted by @NASA, and from there things really picked up with lots of retweets soon followed by calls from news outlets asking for interviews.
Thank goodness the Endeavor’s liftoff was successful, unlike the Challenger’s disastrous flight 25 years ago.
I guess it is about being in the right place at the right time, just ask the Cigar Guy.
