Tanning Beds and Salons for Dogs and Cats

Posted 4/17/2008 5:04 am by AJ Star

doggiesuntan.JPGThe family pet is usually more than just a dog or cat. Pets have become integral members of our family units. Maybe the next time they update the definition of the “nuclear family” they can add pets to the mix. We trust them, we love them, we take care of them.

Oh, yeah, and we spoil them.

Trend Hunter has brought to our attention yet another way that we can pamper our pets. I’m not talkin’ dog house castles or diamond collars. I’m not even talkin’ ’bout doggie daycare or luxury kennels.

This time we mean Sunspa, the at-home tanning bed for your beloved family pet. If your dog has seasonal depression or anxiety (or if he just gets cold sometimes), then this little innovation is just right for you.

The Sunspa consists of a comfortably padded bed that lies underneath a wooden arch. At the top of the arch is a special 150-watt light that generates a temperature of 80-85 degrees for your pet to bask in. The light lasts approximately 5000 hours, so your pet will have plenty of time to soak up the rays before any maintenance is needed.

To learn more about the Sunspa, go grab Fido and read the full article here.

Posted 10/13/2008 9:30 am by Ron Hogan

Happy Columbus Day, everyone!  If you’re anything like me, Columbus Day is a holiday that means basically nothing to you except for the fact that you can’t go to the post office or swing by the bank.  Where I live, schools remain open on Columbus Day, so it’s not even a real holiday and probably […]

    The 105-Year-Old Virgin

Posted 10/09/2008 4:02 pm by Ron Hogan

I think we all want to live a long, healthy life.  Who better to look to for inspiration than Clara Meadmore, a 105-year-old woman who lived all around the world, has her own hair and teeth at an incredibly advanced age, and who lived alone until she entered the Perran Bay nursing home?  Surely she […]

Things with the economy seem to be getting worse.  First all the mortgage companies got in trouble, then the stock market slumps even after the government promises to give them a bunch of free money.  The entire country of Iceland is going bankrupt as we speak.  Europe also is bailing out their companies.  However, despite […]

Being a full-adventurer is a dangerous bit of business.  No matter how good you might be, or how lucky you might be when it comes to avoiding death while flying across the English Channel with a jetpack, one wrong move can spell disaster.  See, for example, the missing (and presumed dead) Steve Fossett.  He flew […]

    Drunken Cow Woman On Rampage

Posted 10/01/2008 1:19 pm by Ron Hogan

This story has been everywhere, but it’s too good to pass up.  After all, the story is about a woman named Michelle Allen who allegedly got dressed up in a cow suit, chased kids, peed on someone’s front porch, and blocked traffic.  Unsurprisingly, she picked a fight with cops and smelled strongly of alcohol.  Surprisingly, […]

Someone on Wall Street has to be listening to a track from Queen’s 1980 album, The Game, right now. Why is that? Well, hum the distinctive bass line if you know it… Dada dum dum dum… another one bites the dust. In this case, ‘another one’ means Wachovia Corporation, who collapsed under […]

In a few short hours, the Chinese spacecraft Shenzhou VII will slip the surly bonds of Earth and rocket towards through the stratophere to the stars.
