There is a new site on these tubes called ManBabies.

I think the picture is self-explanatory where the heads of fathers and their sons are transferred.

I know. Very odd.

    The Devil’s Playground

Posted 5/08/2008 12:56 am by Ron Hogan

The playground is supposed to be a happy place.  Filled with kids running around, having fun, screaming with laughter and delight as they gambol and cavort about like beasts in the field.  Sure you might get the occasional skinned knee, but mostly the playground is a place for kids to be kids and revel in […]

    Phone Sheep

Posted 5/07/2008 12:22 pm by Stephanie Sturgis

In an age of cell phones, ye olden dial phone with the curly cord is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
So what to do with all those useless coils of cord.
How about creating a flock of sheep that you don’t have to feed, shear or clean up after.
The art was created by Jean Luc […]

Unusual Crate Labels Help Defeat Scurvy

Posted 5/02/2008 10:03 pm by Stephanie Sturgis

As part of the consuming public, I am not impervious to creative advertising.

Yes, I’m a sucker for a funny, creative commercial.
The lightsaber bus stop ads had my attention.
Before television , advertising was glued to the end of a crate, usually containing anything from beets to lemons to oranges.
A collection of crate labels shows how marketers […]

    The Fashion-Conscious Urban Survival Suit

Posted 5/01/2008 7:07 pm by Ron Hogan

We all know it’s going to happen.  One day or another, someone will invent a vigilante robot or something and the next thing you know the entirety of Planet Earth is a post-apocalyptic wasteland with gunfights in the streets, rioting, and Australian kids throwing boomerangs at people.  It’s a bad scene if you’re unprepared, but […]

“Falling Towers” Actually Supposed to Look Like That

Posted 4/29/2008 6:00 am by Ron Hogan

The Chinese government has launched a building (and demolition) frenzy the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the Works Progress Administration was launched by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1935.  One of the most interesting of the 300 new buildings that are going to be built in Peking’s business district is the so-called Falling Towers, […]

    Nope, It’s Not A Cat

Posted 4/28/2008 4:44 pm by Trace Sharp

The Internet is a wild and wonderful place. Several weeks ago, I was sent an email that made me laugh so I posted it on my personal blog. Today, I wish to share it with the wonderful world of PopFi.

Yes, we call him Bitey the Possum around where I live but I guess you could […]

    Japanese Anatomy

Posted 4/25/2008 12:02 pm by Stephanie Sturgis

In our pop culture saturated world, Grey’s Anatomy is a hugely popular television show featuring McDreamy in its cast.
Prior to the hit TV drama, Gray’s Antomy of the Human Body was a hugely popular book filled with precisely accurate drawings of the human body and all that it entails. The book released in 1918 includes […]

Some of the most joyous things about the Internet is the insane things you can find if you look around a little bit. In honoring a couple of those sites, you can see some great photography as well as Photoshopping at it’s best. Today, take a look at Eat Liver, where the above picture is […]

    Freaky Fish Festival

Posted 4/24/2008 1:13 pm by Ron Hogan

I think that the oceans are incredibly fascinating, if only for the wide variety of creatures, both cute and frightening, that live beneath its waves. While even stuff on the ocean is neat, there’s nothing that compares to the freak show that is your average bottom-dwelling ocean fish. They’re like slippery nightmares from […]

    Davis Likes Garfield Without Garfield

Posted 4/24/2008 9:21 am by Trace Sharp

Garfield creator Jim Davis says he likes Garfield Minus Garfield.
A viral phenomenon hit the innertubes several months ago when Dan Walsh of Dublin created a website that just has cartoon character Jon Arbuckle by himself with all images of Garfield removed from panel.
The comic creates a very odd and surreal experience and to explain it […]

Ladies, if you’re anything like me, when watching superhero movies or television shows it is sometimes difficult to remember when the chicks are evil and when they’re on the side of good. How could anyone with such great fashion sense be bad?
Finally, a brilliant group of people has taken the initiative to put together an […]

    Space-Age Fiberglass Bike, Circa 1960

Posted 4/23/2008 12:19 pm by Ron Hogan

I’ve written before about how much I love the retro-future look when it comes to design.  I want my cars to be gigantic and have fins, I want my robots to look clunky, and I definitely want my bicycles to have headlights (and taillights).  When I win the lottery, I’m going to buy a 1960 […]
